ALL SAINTS' PARTY

1st November 2019

We had music and dancing, apples hanging on strings to try to eat, musical statues (with prizes for all) and sat around a "campfire prayer space" with the lights dimmed, we heard the stories of St. Francis and how good he was with animals and “The Taming of the Wolf”.  We found out what a relic was and were showed the first class relics of St. Francis, St. Clare and St. Therese of Lisieux.  A wonderful, joyful night was had by all!!

Glasmore Park Jubilee Celebrations

10th March 2017

On Friday 10th March the residents of Glasmore Park opened their Golden Jubilee Celebrations with a Mass to remember all those who have died since 1967. The Mass was celebrated by Fr. Brian McKittrick and Rev. John Taaffe who is a permanent Deacon in St. Peter’s Church in Drogheda, both of whom grew up in Glasmore.

There was a great crowd and a lovely atmosphere on the night and a lovely spirit of friendship which is characteristic of Glasmore through the years. One of the lovely moments during the Mass was the presentation of a plaque from the Residents Association in St. Cronan’s Estate which was blessed and will be put up in Glasmore later in the year.

These are some photos of the night.

Krakow, Poland

Alex, Anita, Sarah, Seán and Stuart from our parish joined over three hundred young people from the Dublin Diocese on the World Youth Day pilgrimage to Krakow, which is expected to attract about 1.5 million young people from around the world who will celebrate their faith and be encouraged by Pope Francis to be courageous ambassadors. The theme of World Youth Day is taken from the Year of Mercy “Blessed are the Merciful, for they shall obtain Mercy.”

BLESSING & DEDICATON OF

ST. CRONAN'S PARISH PASTORAL CENTRE

 5th June 2016

with Mass celebrated by

Archbishop Diarmuid Martin

On Sunday 5th June the atmosphere around the Church and Pastoral Centre was electric. People had been looking forward to this day and so many people worked very hard to make the day a wonderful celebration.

The Parish Pastoral Council facilitated an open meeting some weeks ago and out of the ideas that were shared and the many offers of willingness to prepare and participate they were able to draw so many elements of Parish life together for this occasion.   A big thank you to everyone involved on making this a very blessed and special occasion.

The Anchor Programme is an initiative of the Archdiocese of Dublin and is running in Brackenstown.  It is for those aged between 16 and 30 and thinking of going to World Youth Day 2016 in Krakow.

Anchor is for those who want to explore their faith a little more with other young people and began on Saturday 14th November '15.
